Life Aboard The Great Battelship
These Images were taken on the run during a tour of the ship. One flash and a Canon 20D using a Canon 17-85mm 4.5~5.6 EF-S IS lens. I would have like to been able to use my multi-flash set up. I wasn't able to take a light stand and didn't have an assistant to hold the flash and some of the areas I could not get into for better positioning. So I had a few limitations on where to go and where to place the light.
But it was a wonderful tour and an awesome piece of history. Thanks to our groups tours guide Paul Allen. This is a special project that allows school groups to stay overnight on the ship and experience a small part of life on board the battleship. The Crew that takes care of the guest are for the most part volunteers. A big salute to these volunteers. They take time out of their lives to teach and preserve the history of those that served to keep us free.
